Does the MD802 require other adaptors to get full capability.

Just bought the MD802 All Systems scanner and I have noticed on some sites they are saying that there are other adaptors that may be required in order for it to work with some cars. For instance the chrysler adaptor and audi. My question is as long as the car has the OBD II 16 pin connector what do these other adaptors allow you to do that you normally wouldn't be able to do without them. -

If you live in North America you shouldn't need these connectors they all have the standard connector. They do not do Obd 1 they do some 96 up foreign country cars. -
